![]() The little divots in the ride have not caused me any problems. Flams trigger properly, and the dynamics are all there. It feels like a snare, sounds like a snare, looks like a snare. I don't know how else to really articulate it. Adjusting trigger sensitivity settings got rid of the problem, completely. Tom 4 rim had the random ghost trigger issue people have been talking about. So I didn't walk into this totally blind. I have played with several E-drummers in live situations over the last 10yrs, and have tried to stay up to speed on E-drum tech. I bought the kit for home recordings and social gatherings. I played drums in high school jazz band, and have played a few bar gigs on drums over the years. I am a multi-instrumentalist who primarily sings and plays bass. ![]() My greetings and forgiveness for my English, I mastered very little. Superior to everything already known at least until today. Have a total much cheaper than a td50kv and almost the value of a td30kv, but the double mimic / strike pro, I understand is infinitely The strike pro and in some months replace the module by the mimic pro of pearl, adding the prices of the mimic and strike pro, The td30 and td50 kits are abusively expensive, if someone is willing to spend what the stores order, my advice is to buy Several factory errors have been reported in Alesis, yes, but we are confident that with 1 or 2 firmware versions, AlesisĬorrected, without having the after sales service of Roland, I know he will. It has more measures of toms and box than a td25 and also a better and more complete module than the td25. It has a high level of constructive and aesthetic hardware. My opinion is that for $ 2300 the strike pro is a more than reasonable purchase. While this post should go in "presentations" I put it here because I have seen several colleagues in the forum who have doubts in I know I made a blind purchase, but I have a lot of faith. So I decided to cancel the td25kv and wait for the strike pro almost a year.įinally I will be receiving it in a few days. That was in July 2016, that's when the Strike Pro pre-sale came out as well. I was hours to buy a TD25KV, since a friend had it and I could try it too. I had more than 5 years ago a Roland td9 KX2 kit, then for economic problems I had to sell it.īuy a kit medeli dd518 DX, which also had to sell and spend years without touching, until last year I am a novice drummer, I play the instrument in my spare time, for pleasure, I do not use vst, I only play the factory kits. I want to give my opinion regarding the decision to purchase Alesis Strike Pro Kit. Thus far, the Strike module problems I've seen reported are:ġ.) Noisy output (electrical buzz present).Ģ.) Noisy sampling (electrical buzz present).ģ.) Spurious ghost triggering from tom two input (typically in the rim zone).Ĥ.) Spurious ghost triggering from tom four input (typically in the head zone).ħ.) Poor hi-hat triggering (needs lots of user configuration and still isn't great).Ĩ.) SD card read error renders the module inoperable. Does this mean the Strike module will not operate without a functioning SD card inserted? It would be interesting to remove the SD card and see if at least the default kits are accessible without the card. This module seems dead in the water simply due to an SD card read error. However, when the customer brings up the kit and pad screens, there are no kits, no instruments, and no samples present. Notice how at first the customer says there is no output of any kind on the second Strike module. The second module also failed and reveals a potential all-or-nothing failure point: "SD card read error". The first module lacked acceptable output level on the headphone and main outputs. This customer now has two Strike modules - an initial module and a warranty replacement module.
